Author’s Note: This was a "drabble challenge" to crossover Criminal Minds with Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comics. Knowledge of that fandom will probably explain them a little bit better but I believe (and hope) they are able to stand alone.

Basically- each one of the team is paired with one of the Endless. I think I got everyone except Todd. Hope you enjoy.

Long Live: A Gideon/Sarah fanmix

I recently picked up Gideon for an RP, and playing him in the show canons I got the chance to toy around with the grieving process and the fall-out from No Way Out part 1 and 2. Now by no means, do I ship Jason and Sarah (in my opinion, there wasn’t enough about her to get to know her) but I can’t escape what a profound impact her death had on him.

And by happenstance I came across Long Live by Taylor Swift and it struck me as such a dead-on song for who they were and all the might-have-beens and should-have-beens in their relationship. In truth, this mix could be as much about Hotch and Haley, as it is about Gideon and Sarah; it’s a play and exploration of near misses and never growing old with the one you thought you would.
